I feel utterly helpless and ashamed. I pray for Sudan, just as I pray for Gaza, Ukraine, Myanmar, and others. The horrific cruelty humans so easily resort to leaves me feeling stunned and hopeless. I think many other deeply caring souls feel the same. It breaks my heart every day.

Praying doesn't help. Maybe it makes you feel better but it does absolutely nothing for the people suffering and yet new global leaders are talking about it and that needs to be questioned. There is nothing there that any of the world leaders are interested in. And there's conflict of interest should help be made available to these people. And the world remains silent.

Because there is nothing else I can do, I feel I need to do at least something. And I have seen prayer help. Not consistently or often, no. It's not like a wish box. If it were, just imagine the crap people would be asking for! As a spiritual person (not religious), it is the only comfort I can find.
