Women do everything but hire the Goodyear blimp to let the systems know the situation is desperately bad, and yet their lived experience with the abuser is routinely minimized. And then she winds up dead, and too many people wonder how this happened. DV victims CAN PREDICT THE FUTURE. All the systems must recognize her experiences/insights and do what's necessary to intervene.
This story has broken my heart thinking of those two kids. My Mom escaped her marriage but it took so much. Both financially and emotionally. Dr. Fairfax and her kids deserved better, so many do.
