Stolen, Renamed, Erased: Russia's War on Ukrainian Children
More than 20,000 Ukrainian children have been deported or forcibly displaced into Russia since the full-scale invasion began. As of May 1, only 2,126 have come home.
That gap, 18,000 children still unaccounted for, scattered across at least 210 facilities stretching from the Black Sea to Siberia, is not a bureaucratic backlog. It is, by the determination of the International Criminal Court, a war crime.
And yet the world has largely moved on to arguing about ceasefire maps.
